I would like to have a form to write a complaint and the address of the local bar association. There are numerous unethical things that my prior attorney advised me to do As a client we depend on the words and the advice of our attorney we hire to work for us , not against us. Well I went right along with my attorney, thinking most of the things he was telling me was for my good. If I may, let me explain a few of the things where I think my lawyer misrepresented me. Our home was to be put up for sale at a price agreed upon by me, my ex wife and her realtor. As of now I haven't agreed on a price and my house is up for sale. In the papers I had 30 days in which to sell the property myself. My attorney was to handle the part of me being able to show the house. Not once did he ever get me in to show the house. My prior attorney ask me to let him get the house appraised, instead of me getting an appraisal. Not once did he get my house appraised. He was supposed to go over the final divorce judgement papers before they were written to let me see if they were the same as what was agreed upon in front of the judge. He held my papers, so I could not tell what was in them, long enough so that me and my new attorney (Mr. Lylery) could not take it before the judge. This Cullman Judge, (Frank Brunner) my prior attorney (Steve Smith) and my ex wife's attorney (Wayne Fuller) are all working together. I have already had things investigated and the Birmingham attorneys says, in this small town, I don't have a chance. All I am asking is to see my children, and to give me $100,000. dollars out of the sale of our place. My ex thinks its worth $400,000. and is holding out till she gets that amount. As it stands now, Mr Smith backed me in a corner and pressured me to not fight this case. He advise me to let my ex pay for medical insurance without telling me it would raise my support. He has not once checked to see what my ex made the last 2 years according to our W2 form. And of course there is college down the road. But Mr. Smith made it look so good out of court. Until court date he advised me to give my ex 60 percent of the home , which was so stupid as I see it now. He has cost me dearly, and taken everything away. Not one thing to benefit me. I feel I have been misrepresented to the full extent. Now he plans to sue me for his charges. Any help I will greatly appreciate. If you can, please give me info on the bar association......
