The federal government says that the reason 66% of so-called "deadbeat dads" don't pay child support is because of financial inability. So, why does the federal government continue to attack the victims of these outrageous child support awards? Why doesn't the federal government do something to lower this percentage? Ah, the dichotomy that is our government ..........

Surely you jest! ! Lower the percentage? Cut out their OWN gravy train? Where would these "poor" lawyers and judges be if they didn't have this system so screwed up the rest of us are at their mercy? Who would pay for their fancy houses, their exotic vacations, THEIR chudrens Ivy League education????

And think of the catastrophic effects a fair and just system would have on the local and state governments! Where would these "piggy" politicians stick their big fat noses if the well of "surplus funds" from "support collection" bonuses were to be abolished??

Hell, you'd create a whole new class of "working" people. And personally I don't think these idiots could make it on their own if they had to earn an honest living doing an honest days work most of them would have to run to the dictionary and look up "honest" before they could even begin!

All kidding aside, it is a pretty sad statement when the government puts out findings that say that they are being unfair to 66% of the population of divorced dads and yet the only way they can see to remedy the situation is to punish them some more because fixing the system would shift a little bit of the wealth around. Just think how much child support there would be to actually go to the kids if less went to the lawyers for fees, the states for bonuses and the collection agencies in interest. I'm sure that figure would be staggering!

And people wonder why I would pack up my boys and move to Canada if they ever reinstated the draft. What the hell would I be sending them off to fight for? This defenitely isn't the country my dad or even my husband fought in wars for.

Watching these politicians and judges run this country to their own liking with total disregard for so many of us poor working slobs makes me sick.
